Bring Them Back Again

With anticipation growing for the May 1st release of their new album ‘In Spite Of Everything’, The Boo Radleys now continue their positive momentum with a double-shot of new developments. After the recent ‘Living Is Easy’, the band will further preview the record with the release of the new single ‘Bring Them Back Again’ on March 27th. And after selling out last month’s headline tour of France, they now announce that they will again cross the channel for another headline run in October alongside shows in Southend and Liége.

‘Bring Them Back Again’ is a brutally effective three-minute pop song with a hook as instantly addictive as anything from The Boo Radleys’ back catalogue. Its propulsive alt-pop rhythm is further heightened by Simon ‘Sice’ Rowbottom’s soaring falsetto on the hook, as well as sweet, heavenly female backing vocals. This straight-to-the-point three-minute radio edit is a shortened version of the more expansive full song that will feature on the ‘In Spite Of Everything’ album.

Sice explains the story behind the song:

“‘Bring Them Back Again’ is a song that was written after an afternoon rewatching two of my favourite films – ‘Jean de Florette’ and its sequel ‘Manon des Sources’.  What struck me was how modern the film is in terms of its allusions to ‘belonging’.  Although the concept would have been alien when the films were released, the bitter ‘othering’ that is committed by Le Papet Souberyan and his nephew-accomplice Ugolin has horrible consequences. Empathy for their affected victim only arrives when the human bond between them is revealed.

Watching these films made me both saddened that we have learned so little and continue to ‘other’ despite the vast evidence of the bonds that bind us but also filled me with huge joy at the sheer visual magnificence, invention, and masterful storytelling. The song reflects the passionate abandon of pop music celebrating something wonderful, freeing, and thoughtful.

Given that ‘Jean de Florette’ and ‘Manon des Sources’ are two of France’s most successful exports, it seems fitting that we should give something back and so we have huge delight in today announcing a French tour in October 2026, with stops in Southend and Liege, Belgium on the way.”

Tickets for the tour will go on general sale HERE at 10am tomorrow, March 13th.
